Running during February half term 2021, the programme will introduce young people to the different pathways into the industry and the breadth of roles available in departments including: producing, marketing, designing and fundraising.
About the week
They are looking for young people aged 16-18 to join us for a week of work experience in February half term. They are looking to people who have an interest in a career in the arts but may not think it’s for them or know how to access opportunities. Successful applicants will be taken behind-the-scenes to work closely with the Donmar team and other young people in a number of sessions to gain an insight into theatre-making beyond the rise and fall of the curtain. They will face real life tasks and scenarios to help them gain a better understanding of what each role entails. At the end of the week, they will leave with their own action plan for their next steps.
Sessions will take place in person at Donmar Dryden Street and online, following the government guidelines at the time.
How to apply
Young people can apply by answering three questions either in writing or by submitting a video. They will also need to complete this Google form. For those who need it, they offer a travel bursary for any in-person sessions.
Deadline for applications is Monday 11 January 2021.
