NYA Guidance Update
Read the version 5 of the NYA COVID Guidance
The government has published the ‘COVID-19 Response - Spring 2021’setting out the Roadmap out of the current lockdown for England. This explains how restrictions will be eased over time.
The Roadmap has four steps (although Step 1 has two parts):
Step 1 A 8th March 2021
Step 1 B 29th March 2021
Step 2 no earlier than 12th April 2021
Step 3 no earlier than 17th May 2021
Step 4 no earlier than 21st June 2021

Training bursaries for youth workers
Harrow Club is working with Partnership for Young London to offer 39 subsidised level 2 certificates in Youth Work Practice, shared across 3 Training Providers, for all London Boroughs. These bursaries are open to Youth Work practitioners, over 18 years of age, who are working in a paid or voluntary capacity with young people between the ages of 11 to 25 years and delivering on a regular basis in a youth work setting.

National Youth Agency (NYA) is offering a webinar series called Routes to Success, which is designed to help youth workers and those working with young people to develop their skills, practice and knowledge.
From 5 January 2021, the National Youth Agency (NYA) confirms that the youth sector moved into RED in the readiness framework. This includes online and digital youth services, detached local youth services, 1-2-1 sessions with vulnerable young people (indoors) and support groups with vulnerable young people (indoors and outdoors - max 15 per group and workers/leaders). This guidance must be used in conjunction with the readiness framework and your existing safeguarding policies and procedures, and it is complementary to government guidance on social distancing, travel and other measures which must be adhered to.
Webinar SeriesFree Covid-19 Testing in Camden
Camden Council is offering free COVID-19 testing across the borough of Camden to residents and workers who need quick and regular testing in order to return to work safely, and who are not displaying COVID-19 symptoms.
Pre booking is essential. There are strictly no walk-in appointments. Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Test results have a 45-minute turnaround time.
Those who have COVID-19 symptoms, such as a high temperature, a new continuous cough or loss of smell or taste, should isolate immediately with their household and arrange a test through the NHS or by calling 119.

Pascal Theatre Company, supported by the Mayor of London/Groundwork, runs free online exercise classes for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic London women aged 18 upwards. Classes are to improve mental and physical wellbeing. They have been designed to counter feelings of isolation during the pandemic.
