Following the recent government announcement, the National Youth Agency (NYA) has confirmed that the youth sector has moved into RED on the readiness framework.

Starting today, the second lockdown allows schools, colleges and universities to remain open. As a result, the youth sector can remain partially active during this period with online and digital youth services, detached/outdoor local youth services, 1-2-1 indoor sessions with high-need young people and small group indoor work sessions with high need young people (consistent with social distancing guidelines).

Click here to read NYA’s Red Readiness Factsheet to learn more about what is permitted across the youth sector until at least 2nd December 2020. This guidance must be used in conjunction with the readiness framework and existing safeguarding policies and procedures. For more information, go to https://nya.org.uk/guidance/.
