Childs Charitable Trust
Background
The Childs Charitable Trust is a grant-making trust that supports Christian UK-registered charities and organisations working both in the UK and overseas.
Objectives of Fund
The aim of the fund is to strategically fund Christian organisations that actively share the Christian faith in their work. Funding will support evangelistic, educational, and humanitarian work in accordance with the Trust’s vision to ‘see a world where every person has the potential to hear and respond to the Gospel message’.

Funding is at the discretion of the Trustees.
Who Can Apply
Christian-based charitable organisations are eligible to apply.
Eligible organisations must be registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, or the Charity Commission of Northern Ireland unless they are an "excepted" charity.
Organisations with a turnover of more than £5 million should contact the Trust prior to applying to check eligibility.
All applications must include their latest set of accounts.
Only one application may be submitted within a 12-month period.

Restrictions
The following are not eligible for funding:
- New builds, repair, refurbishment, renovation projects, or fixtures & fittings.
- Foodbanks.
- Street Pastors/Wardens
- GAP Year projects.
- Churches.
- New organisations with a turnover under £100,000.
- Uniformed youth organisations.
Eligible Expenditure
The primary focus for grants allocated in 2023 is for organisations who actively spread the Christian Faith in their work.
Applications for funds to help develop policy, advocacy, and research will also be considered.

How To Apply
Applications can be submitted throughout the year for consideration at one of the Trustees’ quarterly meetings.
Applications received in:
- September, October and November will be considered in January.
- December, January and February will be considered in April.
- March, April and May will be considered in July
- June, July and August will be considered in October.
The application process can take up to six months to complete and further information or a visit may be requested prior to an application being considered.
