Fidelio Charitable Trust
Background
The Fidelio Charitable Trust was established in 2008 to support the Arts in the United Kingdom. The Trustees aim to help individuals and groups who would not be able to carry out a project or activity without financial support, particularly those at an early stage in their careers.
Objectives of Fund
Fidelio provides grants in support of the Arts, particularly for Music (including Opera, Lieder and Composition) and Theatre. The fund aims to enable individuals (over 21) or groups of exceptional ability to:
- Receive special tuition or coaching (e.g. Master Classes for musicians).
- Participate in external competitions.
- Be supported for a specially arranged performance.
- Receive support for a musical composition.
Value Notes
The Trust’s funds are limited. No single grant will normally be greater than £5,000, and the Trustees may sometimes only be able to part-fund a project.
Who Can Apply
Applications must be submitted by Institutions, Colleges, Arts Festivals or other similar arts organisations in the United Kingdom with recognised relevant expertise, preferably registered charities. Such organisations must nominate the individual or group (who must be over 21) and vouch for their competence. Applications will not be considered from those seeking support for themselves or their school-age children.

United Kingdom. The proposed beneficiaries must be based in the UK, though the work for which money is sought may take place overseas.
