London Community Energy Fund

Grants are available to small, local not-for-profit groups for projects that reduce carbon emissions and raise awareness of energy issues in Greater London.

Funding is intended to support projects that:

· Save carbon.

· Increase the amount of renewable energy generation in London.

· Reduce energy demand.

· Help with the Green Recovery.

There is a total funding pot of £665,000, split as follows:

· Stream A: Feasibility and Business Case Development grants - up to £15,000.

· Stream B: Project Implementation and Delivery grants - up to a third of the capital value of the project, to a maximum of £50,000.

· Stream C: Innovation and Pre-feasibility Development micro-grants - up to £5,000.

Groups cannot apply for funding from all three streams for one project.

Each stream has its own match funding requirements:

· Stream A: match funding is encouraged but not necessary.

Projects must be completed by 31 December 2022.

· Stream B: match funding is required for two thirds of the total capital value.

Projects must be completed by 30 September 2022.

· Stream C: match funding is not necessary.

Pre-feasibility work must be completed by 30 June 2022.

The deadline to apply is 17 November 2021 (5pm).
