Objectives of Fund

The funding is intended to promote the welfare of young people under the age of 25 years, who suffer from various effects of social deprivation, abuse, mental and physical disabilities, inadequate housing, lack of education or training, and the problems derived from unemployment and broken families.

Value Notes

The Trust currently has an income of less than £50,000.

Grants tend to range from £500 to £2,000.

Grants are usually made on a one-off basis. Longer-term projects will be considered 'very occasionally'.

Who Can Apply

UK based charities and Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs) registered in the UK with an annual unrestricted income of less than £150,000 can apply.

Charities should be working with vulnerable children and young adults, especially those at risk of sexual and other forms of exploitation.

Funding is not available for:

  • Individuals.
  • Non-registered charities.
  • Non-UK charities.
  • Charities without a website.
  • National charities.
  • Charities with an annual unrestricted income in excess of £150,000.
  • Charities/CIOs with projects based outside the UK.

Eligible Expenditure

The Trust prefers to fund project costs rather than core costs.

Projects can include those that provide:

  • Training for work and personal development.
  • Clubs and play schemes.
  • Safeguarding education.
  • Mental health support and counselling.
  • Emergency care.

How To Apply

The 2025 application windows are:

  • 1 to 28 February 2025 for the March meeting.
  • 19 May to 20 June 2025 for the July meeting.
  • 1 and 31 October 2025 for the November meeting.

No applications will be considered outside these dates.

The completed application form must be submitted by email to the Trust.

No charity or CIO can apply for a grant more than once in two years.
