About Organisation

icandance celebrates children and young people with disabilities, enabling them to thrive through dance. Our specialist approach, incorporating Dance Movement Psychotherapy, Special Educational Techniques and dance, is supported by a highly skilled team, who build meaningful relationships with our participants and their families. Each week, we deliver dance sessions across two sites in Camden to over eighty 4-25-year olds with varying complex and profound disabilities (Autism, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy) including wheelchair users and many who are nonverbal. We are proud of the diversity of our inclusive community. Through our work we: Nurture creativity, learning and wellbeing: ensuring individuals are truly seen, and can connect and express themselves, while developing long-term, life-enhancing skills. Build support and community: enabling families to feel part of a community which enhances understanding to better support their child. Change perspectives: celebrating each individual through performance, encouraging professionals and the wider community to re-imagine difference and dance.
