Supporting the Children and Young People sector in Camden

YCF provides a positive new approach to supporting the Children and Young People sector. With a focus on cross-sector collaboration, we are determined to safeguard high-quality play and youth provision in the borough. YCF raised and invested in the sector £922,781.43 of grant funding in 2021 and over £1mill. since 2018.

Our yearly featured small grants are the Summer Opportunities Fund and the Holiday Hunger Fund.

  • Established in 2018, the Summer Opportunities Fund is an annual fund designed to enable organisations to deliver fun, new and accessible activities for children and young people during the summer break.
  • Established in 2019, the Holiday Hunger Fund was created to tackle food insecurity and inactivity and to support children eligible for free school meals (FSM) during the main school holidays (Easter, Summer and Winter).
  • In 2021 in partnership with Camden Council and DfE YCF is managing Holiday Activities and Food Programme. Report coming soon.

YCF also invested in two new grants programmes, the Digital Youth Work and the Heads Up Mental Health, as a response to our members needs and due to the current situation. YCF is committed to continue to increase its investment in the sector, based in local partnerships and by supporting the sustainability of the children and youth organisations in Camden.
