About Project

Are you aged 18-26 and living in the borough of Camden? Are you passionate about filmmaking and wanting to create your own short film? No experience necessary - just a creative spark, motivation and commitment.

Camden Young Filmmakers Collective (CYFC) is a new filmmaking initiative seeking 12 young people to join them in October for their inaugural 8 weeks of online filmmaking workshops.

- The free sessions will run once a week for 2 hours, culminating in a premiere screening of the films you create and a Q&A.
- Their second intake of 12 participants will be in January 2022, open to those who identify as female.

This is your chance to become part of an innovative new film project lead by industry experts, helping you to kick-start your career in filmmaking.

CYFC is the brainchild of Sobriety Films UK, a Camden based, grassroots non-profit CIC who champion recovery from addiction, mental ill health and trauma through the democratic use of film. SFUK makes films, runs filmmaking workshops and holds screenings with Q&A’s to destigmatise, encourage healing, raise awareness and promote understanding of these issues.
