What

Kopal, which means ‘young bud’ or ‘plant’ in Hindi, is an innovative, playful dance project aiming to re-enliven physical creativity in some of London’s poorest-served children and bring primary-aged pupils together. The workshops build a strong sense of community and develop confidence in movement work. Through South Asian Dance with its strong characteristics of storytelling, rhythm, movement, and gesture, Akademi will take pupils on a journey of exploration, helping to meet physical activity guidelines and curriculum criteria.
