About
KEEN London provide free games and activity sessions with tailored support for children with additional needs and disabilities. They support over 100 children, known as their ‘athletes,’ with a wide range of needs, including autism, cerebral palsy, non-visible disabilities, and global development delay. Their mission is to use fun and games to improve young people's wellbeing, as well as enhance their personal, social, and emotional development while broadening experiences to increase skills and confidence.
KEEN London offers many volunteer roles with flexible start dates. For those available on Saturdays between 10 am – 2:30 pm, volunteers can choose which service suits them best, with locations in Wembley, Lambeth, or Hackney. Reasonable travel costs are reimbursed.
Volunteer Coaches are the backbone of a KEEN London session! They provide one-to-one support to an athlete, helping them access all the activities on offer, achieve their personal development goals, and most importantly, have fun! Volunteers can expect to get involved in a wide range of activities such as playground games, ball games, nature walks, and creative projects. Occasionally, KEEN London also organise trips for the athletes, including visits to trampoline parks, high ropes courses, pedalo boating, and slime-making classes.
