Children and Young Persons Sessional Support Worker

Location: Community based within Harrow and Hillingdon

Post details:

£8.42 per hour (+ £1.01 additional holiday pay for each hour worked)

Optional hours flexible around staff, which includes overnight holidays away and Saturdays.

Role Purpose:

The primary job objective is to provide care and encourage independent living for clients, life skills workshops, opportunities for community participation, leisure and peer networking for the clients with learning difficulties, autism and disabilities. Your job could be in any units within the Children and Young Peoples Services

Reporting to the Deputy Manager & Project Officer, the job-holder will be responsible for the following key duties:​

Engaging young people with learning disability in their cognitive development and enabling them to reach their full potential
Provide personal care when required
Supporting the Project Officer in facilitating activities
Commitment to Safeguarding and Equality
Flexible shift cover, children’s weekend and overnight club activities is required
Driving skills (motor vans) will be an added advantage
Supporting with the development of the Children’s Services
