Part Time Maths tutor
Are you passionate about helping students from disadvantaged backgrounds improve their maths attainment? Are you eager to support students who need to catch up with their maths learning and stretch those who are working below their potential? MathsMakers is an education charity that partners with schools to run maths intervention programmes. We help students strengthen their core maths knowledge, boost their problem-solving skills, and develop confidence in their learning. We work with students in years 6-12 who attend our weekly sessions.
MathsMakers is looking to appoint instructors for in-person programmes for students in Years 6, 7 and 8 in 2024/25.
Programmes will take place in schools in Barnet, Brent and Harrow, London.
Sessions take place during school time or at the end of the school day, depending on the school.
The instructor position is on a freelance basis. MathsMakers offers £120 per programme, per week. This covers 3 hours: 1.25 hours contact time and 1.75 hours preparation/follow-up. In addition, we cover reasonable travel time and travel cost. Applicants may be considered for more than one programme position.
