Young People's Foundation Hosts Webinar about Funding Support Related to COVID-19

Webinar 3: Support From Funders

Date & Time: Wednesday, April 8 from 10 to 11:30am

The Young People's Foundation, along with a wider group of funders, recognise that the COVID-19 pandemic is an exceptional event that will have an impact on civil society groups. We would like to offer reassurance that YPF stands with the sector during this time. We wish to be as helpful as possible during the coming weeks and months, so that civil society groups can focus on the vital work of supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

Guest speakers include:

-James Banks, CEO, London Funders – will give an update on how funders have been collaborating over the past three weeks to jointly look at thematic areas, as well as provide information about the London Community Response Fund portal

-Erik Mesel, Senior Grants and Public Policy Manager, John Lyon's Charity and Chair of the Young People’s Thematic Area group of 30 plus funders – will talk about why and what the funding available will focus on

-Martin Brookes, Chief Executive, London Plus – will discuss collating data to feed intelligence back to funders on what the sector needs, which includes an update on how that research is developing, key findings and how you can get involved

-BBC Children in Need (tbc) – will talk about funder responses to safeguarding and how they will assess practice to ensure children and young people are protected
