Objectives of Fund

The London Community Foundation helps fund and support a huge range of activities that help to improve the lives of London’s most disadvantaged. Child poverty, unemployment, isolation, homelessness, domestic violence and gang crime are just some of the issues the Foundation are tackling through its grant making.

Value Notes

The level of funding varies, depending on the grant scheme. Typically the Foundation provides grants of between £500 and £25,000.

Applications are typically accepted from constituted charities and community groups based in London. The Foundation specialises in funding smaller organisations that do not attract mass public support.

Eligible Expenditure

Over the years, The London Community Foundation has supported a diverse range of projects. Their work has ensured various groups, including environmental groups, employment schemes, mentoring for young people, homeless shelters and day centres for older people, can carry on providing their much needed services.

Grants can be used towards a range of different costs dependant on the programme applied for. Applicants are advised to check any specific guidance information for a grants programme prior to submitting an application.

The Foundation also fund activities supporting particularly disadvantaged and marginalised communities, and organisations tackling challenging issues.
