Summer Opportunities Fund - Big Days Out

*Please note that applications are now closed for this year*

Summer Opportunities Fund – Big Days Out | Guidance

YCF appreciate the incredible work our members do to support children and young people, especially during the summer months. Projects like HAF have showcased the dedication and impact of our members in creating meaningful experiences during the holidays.

With the Summer Opportunities Fund - Big Days Out, we want and provide our members with the opportunity to reward their brilliant young people. We want to offer them the chance to explore new adventures, embrace exciting experiences, and make lasting memories.

Through this fund, our members can organise special days out and trips that will leave a lasting impact on the young people they work with. We want to celebrate their achievements, foster their curiosity, and provide them with enriching activities that broaden their horizons.

The Summer Opportunities Fund – Big Days Out aims to award grants to members for the purpose of taking their young beneficiaries on trips out to visit somewhere interesting or do something fun and enriching.

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Trips out of London – e.g., to the seaside, to a National Trust site, etc.
  • Trips out within London – e.g., to the Zoo, to the cinema, etc.
  • Day activities either within or outside of London – e.g., kayaking, paintball, etc.

We are expecting applications to be for one-day trips/activities.

Eligibility

Please note, the Summer Opportunities – Big Days Out is only open to applications from full YCF members.

We will not be able to accept applications from organisations who have not yet applied for full membership or whose membership is still being processed.

If you are not a full member and would like to apply for a grant, you will need to submit a membership request, and only once this process has been completed and your membership has been approved should you complete and submit an application for funding.
