About Organisation

Creative Media Network (CMN) exists to support the skills development, employability and progression of creatively talented young people (aged 13-25, 80% BAME) who aspire to creative careers, yet come from some of London’s most deprived and underserved communities. Our successful model has engaged beneficiaries in rigorous OCN Level 1 & 2 accredited training delivered in partnership with creative industry businesses spanning Music, Film, Digital, PR and Marketing. Our user-led delivery ranges from evening, weekend and school-holiday sessions delivered from youth-hubs, to intensive 12-week employability, training and industry-mentoring programmes. Training covers social-media, marketing, content creation, event and project management. Beneficiaries are given real industry briefs and supported by CMN and volunteer industry mentors to bring their creative skills to bare on real and high-profile projects. This is followed by work-placements within creative businesses and further bespoke progression support. Our delivery models incorporate evidence based best practice, proven to support a young person’s development, employability and progression. Our Programmes enhance both “Intrinsic factors” like emotional capabilities, attitudes, aspirations and soft skills; as well as “Extrinsic factors” including qualifications, training, work experience and professional networks. To date outcomes include over 85% attendance, 89% attaining accreditation and 100% providing positive feedback on our programmes. For more information please contact info@creativemedianetwork.org
