About Organisation

Little Hands Design (charity est. 2001), provides hands-on education on how to look and feel good in what you wear without harming our world!

‘80% of the environmental impact of {clothes} is determined at the design stage’ (London Design Council).

Little Hands Design are collaborating with young designers, many of whom are former alumni. They are running regular Saturday and afterschool Sustainable Fashion Clubs and holiday camps for kids from 8 years and teenagers up to 18 years.. They are also hosting adult courses during the day and evening.

Imagine being able to use the sewing machine and dress to impress in clothes and accessories you have created yourself!

Thoughtful Design Education, practical Design & Make Skills Development and Transferable Sustainable Life Competencies through Creative Problem Solving Skills are the focus of our education programme.

In a fun and supportive environment we experiment with the latest seasonal fashion, simplifying cuts to turn current trends into easy projects to create something truly individual. Little Hands Design teaches skills at all dexterity levels – from designing, measuring and cutting to mastering the sewing machine whilst raising awareness about the lifecycle and impact of clothes.

Your friends won’t believe you made it yourself!
