Supplementary Education Fund

About the Supplementary Education Fund

Young Camden Foundation and John Lyon’s Charity are delighted to announce that the Supplementary Education fund has returned for 2025.

This fund is dedicated to providing core cost support for supplementary schools and out-of-school settings associated with organisations actively delivering in Camden. We invite applications from such organisations with a strong emphasis on providing core thematic learning experiences to children and young people.

Thematic Focus: Applicants should focus on delivering core subjects (English, Maths, and/or Science). We are also looking for the inclusion of extracurricular lessons, and/or homework support. A focus on core subject delivery must be included.

Quality Assurance: Organisations applying are required to have achieved, be actively working towards, or commit to achieving the YPF Trust Quality Mark (formerly National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education (NRCSE) Quality Mark) or an equivalent educational quality mark.

Impact on Learners: Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the confidence of children and young people in at least one core subject: Maths, English, or Science. Access to new or existing activities, either face-to-face or online, is encouraged, with a preference for face-to-face engagement.

Funding Range: Applicants can request core cost support ranging from £500 to £3,500.

Eligibility: To be eligible, organisations' legal registered address must be in Camden, unless this address is a private residence outside of the borough, but you physically deliver within the borough. Organisations must be actively engaging with Camden's children and young people.

Budget Submissions

All grant applicants MUST now use our custom budget template spreadsheet. If suitably required, applicants can add new lines to the table. We welcome your feedback and suggestions for improvements on our new budget template spreadsheet.

Application Formats
