Head of Learning & Participation (Maternity Cover)
Maternity Cover, minimum 10-month contract (potential to extend)
We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding performing arts
practitioner to lead Wac Arts’ Learning and Participation programme of
creative activities with an immediate start date.
We are seeking an experienced learning and participation professional to oversee the Wac Arts creative programme in 2024/25
Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Programme
Coordinator, you will maintain the delivery of a high-quality programme
of creative activities for young people aged 4 – 30, monitoring the
standards of learning. You will work with the management team to plan
for the growth of the programme and oversee the delivery of the Wac
Nites, Weekend and Evening activity and our Short Breaks contract. The
role requires a high degree of cross-programme collaboration, to evolve
and strengthen the charity’s inclusive provision and its internal and
external progression pathways.
You must be passionate about the importance of high-quality arts
provision, with the ability to connect with and engage young people
including those who have profound and multiple learning difficulties,
artists and tutors and delivery partners.
The post requires regular work at weekends, evenings, and school
holidays. This role requires an enhanced DBS check and involves
Designated Safeguarding Lead responsibilities.
