Finance support programme

The pandemic has significantly impacted some parts of the voluntary community sector with 2 in 5 voluntary organisations reported to have six months left of reserves (NCVO). The financial impact coupled with increase in demand of services and expected drop of income from traded activity means that some organisations will need to review and restructure their business models to sustain themselves through the coming period of financial and organisational insecurity.

Young Camden Foundation (YCF) is investing in tailored support for YCF members. This bespoke advisory support will be provided by Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). The aim of the programme is to support YCF members to develop bespoke fundraising plans to ensure your long term sustainability.

You don’t need to apply for this programme. It will be offered to members who opted-in during the YCF’s Build Up Fund – Youth Crime Prevention application form.

The deadline for applying to the Build Up Fund is 10 October 2021. Apply now!

This bespoke advisory support will run from October to December and it will likely involve a focus on areas such as:

  • Fundraising strategies: Diversifying income from Major donors or corporate.
  • Programme priorities: Managing key stakeholders/ supporting beneficiaries either through/ partnership or new programme developments.
  • Governance: Reviewing your Theory of Change (TOC) or governance setup commitment.

This programme is at Strategic level, we recommend some trustees and Senior Management team to be actively involve for this advisory support.

Short advisory support is pivotal to successfully develop staff skills, but a longer-term intervention is required to create momentum and ensure sustained impact at organisational level.

This programme is offered as an extension for YCF members applying for YCF’s Build Up Fund – Youth Crime Prevention and Organisational Development Grants. This pilot programme can only select four Camden based children and young people organisations (CYP) but the learning will be used to shape future support to the sector.

The deadline for applying to the Build Up Fund is 10 October 2021.
